OSHA 10 is a 10-hour course designed for entry-level workers. It covers the basics of workplace safety and hazard recognition. OSHA 30 is a 30-hour course intended for supervisors, foremen, and safety leads — it goes much deeper into safety program management, regulatory compliance, and leadership responsibilities. Many job sites and general contractors require workers to have OSHA 10 and supervisors to have OSHA 30.

An actively proctored course means your training session is monitored in real-time — with secure login, identity verification, and session oversight throughout. Standard OSHA online courses are self-paced without live oversight. You need the actively proctored version when working on NYC job sites (required by NYC DOB under Local Law 196 to count hours toward your SST card), or when your employer or general contractor specifically mandates proctored training.

OSHA 10 takes a minimum of 10 hours and OSHA 30 takes a minimum of 30 hours — these are OSHA-mandated minimums that cannot be shortened. However, our courses are fully self-paced so you can complete them on your own schedule. Many students finish OSHA 10 in 1–2 days and OSHA 30 over 4–7 days. There is no access expiry — you can pause and resume anytime.

We reset your course at absolutely no charge — no questions asked. Most other OSHA providers charge $30–50 for a retake. We don't. Just contact us and we'll get your course reset so you can retake the final exam immediately.

Once you complete your course and pass the final assessment, your completion certificate is available for immediate download from your LMS dashboard. Your official OSHA (DOL) wallet card is then processed and mailed to your address — typically within 3–5 weeks. If you lose your card within 90 days of completion, we replace it free of charge.

Your NYC SST card is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. Once it expires, you'll need to complete renewal training to keep your card active and stay eligible to work on NYC job sites covered by Local Law 196. Also important: any OSHA training hours you use toward your SST card must be less than 5 years old — so if your original OSHA (DOL) card is approaching that window, you'll need a refresher before the SST renewal. We offer both initial SST courses and renewal training so your crew stays covered without any gap in compliance.
